Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the sourcing, negotiation, and management of suppliers for all indirect procurement categories. This involves collaborating closely with internal departments to provide cost-effective procurement solutions, enhance supplier performance, and ensure adherence to procurement policies. The role also focuses on identifying opportunities for cost reduction, leading the indirect procurement team, and promoting continuous improvement, transparency, and ethical practices to support the company's business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and service levels to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with departments like IT, HR, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to understand their specific procurement needs.
- Offer expert guidance on sourcing strategies and supplier selection processes.
- Oversee supplier onboarding procedures and ensure strict compliance with company procurement policies.
- Uphold transparent and ethical procurement processes throughout all operations.
- Track indirect procurement expenditures and identify strategic opportunities for cost optimization.
- Lead, mentor, and support the team responsible for indirect procurement categories.
- Drive the implementation of effective procurement processes and foster continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Essential: Diploma or equivalent education; Desirable: Bachelor’s degree.
- Desirable: Studies or courses in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
- Desirable: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Essential: Fundamental understanding of procurement best practices, vendor management, ERP systems, and contract negotiation.
- Desirable: Proficiency in Procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Essential: Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Desirable: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including a good understanding of spreadsheets.
