Talent Trail HR is recruiting a Tea Sales Representative & Driver for a fast-growing tea distribution company expanding its retail presence within the Ukambani region. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting tea products, growing the customer base, maintaining relationships with retailers and distributors, and safely operating a manual pickup vehicle during field sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell the company's tea products to retailers, wholesalers and distributors within the assigned sales territory.
- Identify new business opportunities by prospecting for new customers and developing long-term relationships with retail outlets and distribution partners.
- Conduct regular field visits to existing and prospective customers to increase product visibility and market penetration.
- Safely operate a manual pickup vehicle while transporting products and sales materials to various customer locations.
- Prepare quotations, process customer orders and follow up to ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Gather customer feedback, competitor information and market intelligence to support business growth strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of daily sales activities, customer visits, product movement and sales performance.
- Achieve monthly sales targets while representing the company's brand professionally and maintaining high customer service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in field sales, retail sales, distribution or customer service is highly preferred.
- Fluency in Kikamba is mandatory since the role involves engaging customers across the Ukambani region.
- Valid driving licence with the ability to confidently drive a manual pickup vehicle.
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities.
- Self-driven, disciplined and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors and travelling frequently within the assigned region.
