Bar Supervisor

Sarova Hotels & Resorts is a leading hospitality company in Kenya, established in 1972, known for its diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts.

The Bar Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of bar operations, ensuring the delivery of outstanding beverage experiences and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. This role involves managing daily bar activities, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding the quality of service and products.

1. Supervise, train, motivate, and develop bar staff to ensure high performance.
2. Maintain high service standards and continuously monitor staff performance.
3. Handle guest complaints and challenging situations professionally and effectively.
4. Ensure overall guest satisfaction and promote service excellence within the bar.

1. Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field.
2. Training in Bartending, Mixology, or Beverage Management is an added advantage.
3. Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene is preferred.
4. 2–5 years of experience in bar operations, hospitality, or food & beverage service.
5. Previous experience as a Bartender, Senior Bartender, or Bar Attendant.
6. Proven experience in staff supervision and customer service.
7. Strong knowledge of bar operations, various beverages, and mixology techniques.
8. Excellent understanding of stock control, inventory management, and beverage costing.
9. Proficiency in POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
10. Knowledge of health, safety, and liquor licensing requirements.
11. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
13. A strong passion for guest satisfaction and service excellence.
