Job Description
This role ensures that all network systems operate as intended, consistently, and reliably to meet established business service level agreements. The successful jobholder will manage the bank's corporate network performance, ensuring systems work as designed and perform consistently and reliably to meet Business SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the bank's corporate network performance to ensure systems operate as designed, consistently, and reliably, meeting Business SLAs.
- Monitor corporate network performance, including SNMP, logs, and events, and maintain overall system health to provide proactive support.
- Develop and maintain policies for device access, control, data transmission, storage, business continuity, backup, security, monitoring profiles, and notification rules, aligning with best practices.
- Plan and execute timely product upgrades, firewall signature updates, and patch releases for all ICT assets.
- Research and evaluate external technical trends, developments, and evolving industry standards related to networks, security, client/server, and other platforms, applying them to business systems.
- Define and document various architectural components, including hardware platforms, operating systems, execution, development, operation, distribution, and technologies for networking systems.
- Install, support, and maintain network devices, address system failures, and coordinate issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or an IT-related field from a recognized university.
- Possession of Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is mandatory; Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of extensive networking and project management experience in planning, systems analysis, design, support, and development of complex LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Proven experience integrating systems in multi-user, multi-platform, multitasking operating system environments such as UNIX (AIX, Solaris), Linux (RHEL, OpenShift), and Windows.
- Excellent understanding and practical knowledge of TCP/IP, IP Telephony, and Firewall appliances.
- Specialized IT/Engineering background with strong competencies in Network Engineering and good project management/consulting skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead or facilitate mission-critical projects and to develop, participate in, and lead multi-disciplinary work teams.
- Experience in systems planning, design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting, with a track record in large, complex WANs, LANs, and client/server-based systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of modern information security threats and proficiency in developing effective solutions.
- Proven experience working with multivendor networking technologies, including Cisco, Checkpoint, and Avaya.
- Extensive knowledge of Service Provider networks and demonstrated experience working with SP equipment and protocols.
- Demonstrated competency in project management within a cross-functional environment and experience managing resources to achieve goals on multiple projects.
