Head, Private Banking & Wealth- Personal & Private Banking

The Head of Private Banking & Wealth is responsible for developing and implementing the in-country strategy for affluent clients, aiming to drive client acquisition, enhance market presence, and ensure long-term value. This involves championing seamless client experiences, leading digital transformation initiatives, and collaborating with various stakeholders to establish a compelling value proposition that strengthens client relationships and achieves superior commercial outcomes.

1. First Degree in Business Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2. Preferred certification: Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
3. A postgraduate qualification will be considered an advantage.
4. Extensive experience in Private Banking and Wealth Management, with a proven track record in client acquisition, sales, service, and relationship management for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
5. Demonstrated success in driving business growth, increasing market share, expanding assets under management, and achieving sustainable revenue and profitability targets within a competitive financial services environment.
6. Proven experience in developing and executing growth strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong networks to attract and retain affluent and wealth clients.
7. Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to interpret market trends, assess risks and opportunities, and make strategic decisions that deliver superior client and business outcomes.
8. Extensive experience in preparing, evaluating, and motivating complex credit applications and transactions, with a sound understanding of credit risk management and governance requirements.
9. Deep knowledge of banking, wealth management, investment, lending, fiduciary, and advisory products and services, with the ability to deliver holistic financial solutions tailored to client needs.
10. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of client centricity, collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
11. Recognized as a transformational leader with a successful track record of leading organizational change, digital adoption, innovation, and business transformation initiatives that enhance client experience and operational effectiveness.
12. Strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, and the evolving wealth management landscape, with the ability to translate these insights into actionable business strategies.
13. Experience operating at a senior leadership level within organizations of comparable scale and complexity, with the ability to influence stakeholders, build strategic partnerships, and drive execution across multiple functions and markets.
14. Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring the delivery of growth priorities, client value, and long-term business sustainability.
