Job Description
The Junior HR Business Partner is responsible for assisting the Head of HR in providing comprehensive support to Line Managers for employee management. The primary goal is to ensure the Bank meets its strategic business objectives through the development and maintenance of high-performing teams. Additionally, the position holder offers day-to-day guidance and support to employees across all aspects of Human Resource Management that directly impact them.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for both employees and managers.
- Support the Head of Human Resources in implementing strategic HR functional plans that add value and deliver business results.
- Assist the Head of HR in collaboration with Line Managers to deliver best practice, customer-focused, and solution-oriented HR functions, including recruitment, retention, contract management, employee inductions, deployment, performance management, rewards management, training needs analysis, and capability building.
- Interpret and provide advice on HR policies, and support managers in the practical implementation of HR policies, employment legislation, and best practice change management.
- Administer staff benefit schemes, including medical, pension, and life insurance.
- Manage employee welfare issues.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee separation, prepare reports, and recommend solutions.
- Enhance the organizational culture and foster ownership of the company’s values, vision, and mission, driving change in alignment with business goals.
- Ensure the maintenance of up-to-date personnel records and statistics, both physically and online.
- Generate strategic HR metrics periodically for the Head of HR, analyzing HR trends to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Conduct Talent Management Routines and Succession Planning, supporting Line Managers in conducting job rotations and implementing development plans.
- Support the Learning and Development Manager in managing succession planning, competency and career development frameworks, and individual development plans.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and enhance retention.
- Prepare statutory payments for payroll promptly.
- Conduct monthly meetings with respective business units.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as with the Bank’s internal policies and procedures while executing assigned duties.
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Certification as a Human Resource Professional (CHRP).
- Higher Diploma in HR.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar HR position or within the HR field.
- Knowledge of HRIS is an added advantage.
