Job Description
Woodcreek Schools Limited is seeking a detail-oriented Clerk of Works to oversee quality assurance across its active construction projects. This role is crucial for ensuring that all materials, workmanship, and construction practices consistently meet approved designs, specifications, and the highest industry quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, monitor, and inspect contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Monitor construction quality and progress, promptly raising concerns if work deviates from contract requirements or high-quality standards.
- Verify contract adherence, including specified tests and correct installation of materials and equipment.
- Prepare comprehensive site reports covering progress, safety issues, delays, and third-party inspections.
- Inspect workmanship and construction practices on assigned works.
- Maintain organized site records, including contract documents, change orders, drawings, samples, meeting reports, and payment requests.
- Coordinate with the Architect/Engineer during final inspections and documentation reviews at project completion.
- Perform additional duties related to construction supervision as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Diploma in Building and Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or Real Estate Management.
- A minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet timelines, and perform effectively under pressure.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Innovative, solution-oriented, and capable of liaising effectively with staff at all levels.
