Content Production Associate

Shamiri Institute is an organization dedicated to creating impactful video and visual content for its social and digital platforms. It aims to enhance visibility, build trust, and foster engagement for its work, particularly within social impact and research environments.

The Content Production Associate is responsible for developing engaging content quickly and to a high standard, providing in-house capacity for Shamiri. This steady content presence is crucial for building visibility, trust, and engagement, thereby expanding Shamiri's reach and impact. The role ensures all produced content is accurate, aligns with Shamiri's visual identity, and maintains a consistent look and feel across various platforms, applying a strong visual eye to all work.

1. Manage the daily production of short-form video content for Shamiri’s social and digital platforms.
2. Capture original footage on location and at Shamiri events, including the Summit, The Gathering, and community gatherings.
3. Operate cameras, mobile devices, and basic recording equipment for content creation.
4. Edit and assemble captured footage into finished, platform-ready video assets.
5. Re-cut and repurpose existing footage to create new outputs and adapt video across different platforms and formats.
6. Incorporate captions, simple motion graphics, and sound into video content.
7. Produce graphics and carousels for social media, presentations, and reports, consistently applying Shamiri’s brand identity and templates.
8. Build and adapt visual assets for various platforms and formats, and support the design of slide decks and other visual materials.
9. Maintain organized libraries of video and graphic assets, tracking and filing produced content for future reuse.
10. Manage production schedules to ensure a reliable flow of content and keep clear records of all produced work.
11. Collaborate with the Multimedia & Content Production Lead on larger and more complex productions.
12. Coordinate with the Brand and Social Media Manager to align content with platform priorities.
13. Partner with various teams across Shamiri to source stories, footage, and information.

1. Bachelor’s degree in design, multimedia, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. 2 to 3 years of experience in content production, video editing, or graphic design.
3. A portfolio demonstrating original video capture, editing, and graphic production skills.
4. Proficiency in Figma, Canva, and CapCut is required.
5. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator, is a plus.
6. Experience producing content specifically for social platforms.
7. Experience in social impact, research, or mission-driven environments is preferred.
8. Strong video editing and graphic production skills.
9. Proficiency in camera and mobile shooting techniques, including framing, lighting, and sound.
10. Familiarity with short-form video content across major social platforms.
11. Ability to consistently apply a brand identity and visual system.
12. Possession of a strong visual storytelling instinct.
13. High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
14. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
15. Capacity to manage multiple outputs simultaneously and deliver on schedule.
16. Ability to work collaboratively while also being self-directed.
