Job Description

The Foundation Project Officer at Kimisitu Sacco is responsible for the comprehensive management of the Sacco's foundational activities and daily operations. Key aspects of the role include providing support to the Foundation Board Committees, ensuring the execution of Board resolutions, and coordinating the implementation of both strategic and operational priorities. The officer will also take the lead in planning, documenting, and executing fundraising initiatives, as well as overseeing the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of various programmes. Strengthening partnerships, communications, and visibility efforts are crucial. The role requires the preparation and submission of monthly progress reports and consolidated quarterly reports. Additionally, the officer will conduct research to stay informed about relevant laws and regulations, providing regular updates to management and the Board, assisting in the supervision of external service providers, and managing the Foundation’s programme tracker.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate all Foundation activities and duties as assigned by the Sacco CEO.
  2. Liaise promptly with agencies, business partners, the Foundation Board, Sacco members, employees, and relevant public bodies regarding Foundation management.
  3. Support the Foundation Board Committees and ensure the execution of Board resolutions.
  4. Coordinate the implementation of the Foundation’s strategic and operational priorities.
  5. Lead the planning, documentation, and execution of fundraising activities.
  6. Oversee the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of programmes.
  7. Strengthen partnerships, communications, and visibility efforts.
  8. Prepare and submit monthly progress reports and a consolidated quarterly report.
  9. Research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, preparing regular updates for management and the Board.
  10. Assist in the supervision of duties assigned to external service providers.
  11. Manage the Foundation’s programme tracker.

Requirements

  1. Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field such as Development Studies, Economics, Marketing, or Sociology.
  2. Possess at least 3 years of experience in a dynamic community-facing environment.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders involved in Foundation initiatives.
  4. Capable of effectively addressing the Foundation's needs.
  5. Skilled in deepening the Foundation's engagement with various stakeholders.
  6. Committed to ensuring the transformation of lives through the Foundation's activities.
  7. Able to innovate the Foundation’s representation and maintain its relevance.
