Job Description

This role involves ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. Key aspects include presenting various menu options, engaging with customers at different touchpoints, and assisting them in navigating the menu, including informing them of daily specials or changes. The waitstaff is responsible for accurately taking orders and delivering them to tables, as well as monitoring guest satisfaction with food and service, promptly addressing any concerns, and escalating issues to management when necessary. Collaboration with other team members is essential to ensure a seamless customer experience. Financial responsibilities include managing the shift float, ensuring sufficient change, preventing shortages, timely closure of counter variances, and operating counter machines. The role also covers presenting bills, processing payments, ordering items via Vuka, receiving supplies from vendors, keying orders into the POS system, and handling orders from aggregator platforms for packing and dispatch. Maintaining cleanliness is crucial, involving table clearance, counter cleaning, general restaurant upkeep, and upholding high hygiene standards. Additionally, the waitstaff is expected to communicate any repair, maintenance, or IT issues to the Area Manager and perform all necessary branch closing duties.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Present diverse menu options and suggest items based on customer preferences.
  2. Manage customer interactions at various touchpoints.
  3. Guide guests through the menu and inform them of changes or daily specials.
  4. Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders.
  5. Monitor guest dining experience to ensure satisfaction and promptly address concerns, escalating to management if needed.
  6. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive customer experience.
  7. Ensure sufficient change is available at all times.
  8. Maintain shift float money and prevent shortages.
  9. Timely close counter variances.
  10. Take care of counter machines.
  11. Present bills and process payments.
  12. Order items using Vuka for the store.
  13. Receive items from Foodscape or other suppliers.
  14. Key in orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
  15. Receive orders from aggregator tabs.
  16. Pack and dispatch orders to guests.
  17. Clear tables and clean counters after guests finish dining.
  18. Ensure general restaurant cleanliness and uphold high hygiene standards.
  19. Communicate any repair, maintenance, or IT issues to the Area Manager.
  20. Perform branch closing duties.

Requirements
