Job Description
The Security Support Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive security support to the Regional Security Office (RSO). This involves collecting, documenting, and submitting situation and incident reports to ensure RSO personnel have access to the most current security data. The role requires briefing RSO personnel with clear and concise reports on emerging criminal tactics and techniques, as well as the latest open-source collection and tabulation of security activities. The incumbent will conduct security analysis within an assigned area, identifying suspicious activities and submitting information to aid analysis. They will engage in close observation to detect and report potential threats targeting U.S. Government facilities, employees, family members, and residences, and initiate emergency responses as needed to protect life and property. Additionally, the position involves making verbal and written reports on findings to supervisory security personnel and may require maintaining records and performing data entry into software applications. The role includes performing other directed security tasks and entails extended periods working outdoors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide security support to the Regional Security Office (RSO).

Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security certificate or public trust security clearance.
- Successful completion of a background investigation.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical exam if required.
- Ability to commence employment within a reasonable timeframe upon receiving agency authorization, clearances, or certifications.
- Completion of secondary education, a high school diploma, or its local equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of experience in military, police, or private security roles.
