Multiple Branch Manager

Powerstar Supermarkets, founded in 2013, is a retail chain operating supermarket branches in Kenya.

The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading the daily operations of a supermarket branch, with 5 open slots available for this position. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient store performance, achieving sales targets, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The manager will also be tasked with effectively managing and developing the branch team in a dynamic retail setting.

1. Oversee all daily supermarket operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
2. Drive sales performance, monitor, and implement strategies to grow revenue.
3. Ensure excellent customer service standards across the branch.
4. Manage and supervise staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
5. Maintain high standards of merchandising, inventory control, and stock availability.
6. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and food safety standards.
7. Prepare regular operational reports and communicate branch performance to senior management.
8. Resolve customer complaints and operational challenges promptly and professionally.

1. Hold a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
2. Possess 2–5 years of experience in retail management, with supermarket experience highly preferred.
3. Demonstrate a proven track record in sales management, customer service, and store operations.
4. Exhibit strong leadership and people-management skills, including team supervision, coaching, and conflict resolution.
5. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Possess knowledge of inventory and stock management, including shrinkage control.
7. Be able to analyze sales trends, set targets, and manage budgets.
8. Show strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Possess strong organizational and time-management skills.
10. Working experience in a retail supermarket environment will be an added advantage.
