Full Stack Developer

Brookfox Technologies Limited is a technology company that provides solutions and services, including web application development and integrations for its clients.

The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for the end-to-end development of secure web applications, dashboards, and integrations for Brookfox client projects. This involves working across the entire stack, from database design to user interface implementation, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

1. Collaborate with the Project Lead and specialists to translate requirements into technical designs, data models, and user interfaces.
2. Develop responsive web applications utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks and backend services.
3. Design and maintain PostgreSQL databases and create REST APIs.
4. Integrate various third-party systems, including mobile data collection tools, payment gateways, and enterprise systems, via secure APIs.
5. Create dashboards and reporting views to display key performance indicators.
6. Implement authentication mechanisms, role-based access control, and comprehensive audit trails.
7. Optimize application performance, particularly for low-bandwidth environments.
8. Conduct testing, resolve defects, manage release updates, and provide source code and documentation upon project completion.

1. Hold a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in full-stack development, with a portfolio of demonstrable production web applications.
3. Demonstrate strong proficiency in React or Next.js, along with a backend language like Node.js or Python.
4. Have solid experience with PostgreSQL, including database schema design; Supabase experience is a plus.
5. Proven experience in building and integrating REST APIs.
6. Experience implementing role-based access control, authentication, and audit logging.
7. Desirable experience includes working with ODK or KoBoToolbox, developing for low-connectivity systems, and involvement in public or development sector projects.
