Supply Chain Development Manager

This role involves strategically expanding Kilimall's local supplier base by acquiring Kenyan manufacturers, brands, distributors, wholesalers, and SMEs. The manager will be responsible for negotiating commercial terms, supporting seller onboarding processes, and collaborating with internal teams to drive seller performance and growth. The position requires preparing regular reports on acquisition, growth, and sales.

1. Identify and acquire Kenyan manufacturers, brands, distributors, wholesalers, SMEs, and sellers.
2. Build and maintain a strong local supplier database across key product categories.
3. Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, commissions, supply arrangements, and promotional support with suppliers.
4. Support new sellers with onboarding, documentation, account setup, product listing, and marketplace training.
5. Collaborate closely with category, warehouse, logistics, and marketing teams to enhance local seller performance.
6. Develop growth plans for sellers, including promotions, assortment expansion, and pricing improvements.
7. Prepare regular reports on seller acquisition, active seller growth, sales performance, and local sourcing progress.

1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Possess at least 4 years of experience in supplier acquisition, business development, procurement, marketplace operations, or key account management.
3. Demonstrate strong knowledge of Kenyan manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, brands, and SME supplier networks.
4. Experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, electronics, fashion, beauty, household goods, or general trade is preferred.
5. Exhibit strong negotiation and commercial skills.
6. Possess excellent communication, networking, and relationship management abilities.
7. Have strong analytical skills to track seller performance, pricing, and identify category opportunities.
