Job Description

The Data Insights & Analytics Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the organization's comprehensive strategy for business intelligence, analytics, and data products. This includes establishing robust data governance frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance and leading cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize high-impact analytics initiatives that support strategic decision-making. The role also involves building interactive data visualization dashboards and self-service analytics platforms to empower data-driven decisions across the organization, as well as designing advanced analytics models like credit scoring, propensity modeling, and churn prediction. Furthermore, the manager will oversee analytics resources and project timelines, promote data literacy, and maintain high data quality standards throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Define and deliver the organization's business intelligence, analytics, and data product strategy.
  2. Establish robust data governance frameworks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  3. Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize high-impact analytics initiatives.
  4. Build interactive data visualization dashboards and self-service analytics platforms.
  5. Design advanced analytics models, including credit scoring, propensity modeling, and churn prediction.
  6. Manage analytics resources and project timelines.
  7. Drive data literacy adoption and maintain data quality standards across the business.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  2. A postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics, or a related field is an added advantage.
  3. Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in Advanced Analytics, Decision Science, Business Analytics, Data Products, or a comparable discipline.
  4. Demonstrable leadership experience of at least 2 to 3 years, including managing teams, leading analytical workstreams, or coordinating analytics capabilities and resources.
  5. Prior experience in banking, financial services, fintech, telecommunications, or another data-intensive sector is preferred.
  6. Proven track record of successfully delivering analytics-driven insights and solutions that supported key business decision-making processes.
  7. Ability to adopt practical approaches and articulate information effectively.
  8. Strong skills in examining and interpreting data, providing insights, and interacting with people.
  9. Excellent team working abilities.
  10. Proficiency in data analysis, data integrity, knowledge classification, and research & information gathering.
  11. Knowledge of Python and R.
