Sacco Professional Driver

Co-op Consultancy is a business advisory arm of the Co-operative Bank group.

The Sacco Professional Driver is responsible for delivering secure and timely transportation services to the Sacco Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other designated personnel. This position also entails maintaining assigned vehicles to high standards, facilitating the prompt delivery of documents, and executing various administrative duties. The role is crucial for the Sacco's efficient operations, ensuring all activities align with organizational policies and service standards.

1. Provide transport support during routine assignments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services.
2. Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle and promptly report mechanical faults.
3. Conduct pre-operation checks on essential vehicle components such as engine coolant, oil, brake and clutch fluids, and battery condition.
4. Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective use of the vehicle.
5. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with the Highway Code and applicable road safety requirements.
6. Attend to minor mechanical needs and promptly report major mechanical faults.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle logbooks and other required records.
8. Adhere to all road safety requirements, traffic laws, and Sacco policies and procedures.
9. Ensure the assigned vehicle remains roadworthy and properly maintained at all times.
10. Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

1. A minimum of KCSE mean grade C (Plain) or a recognized certificate in any course.
2. At least four (4) years of relevant driving experience, preferably in a recognized institution or corporate organization.
3. A valid driving license for the appropriate class of vehicle.
4. Demonstrable defensive driving skills; a defensive driving certificate will be an added advantage.
5. A clean and demonstrable driving record with no serious traffic offenses.
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Ability to operate a vehicle safely and effectively under different weather, road, and traffic conditions.
8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
9. High level of responsibility, integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
10. The successful candidate will be required to fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, and provide the relevant clearance documents, including:
11. Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
12. Tax Compliance Certificate from KRA.
13. Clearance/Compliance Certificate from HELB.
14. Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
15. Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
